The temperature distribution of the heated body with and without a shield (range width is the same) is indicated in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 and the temperature difference at the center of the heated body (distance 150 mm) is indicated in Fig. 3.
The absolute value of the temperature differs with and without a shield and the temperature distribution is fluctuates because the heat is transferred directly to the heated body via thermal radiation from the heater without a shield. However, the heat is transferred uniformly to the heated body with a shield due to the soaking effect of the shield.
