Control Simulation with Reference to Motor Model
With use of a behavior model generated by JMAG-RT, the control simulator
can refer to detailed motor behavior in a speed equivalent to the use of
ideal motor.
The JMAG-generated behavior model contains the tables on motor characteristics.
The tables include non-linearity of materials, current dependency of inductance,
and shape dependency of torque.
Regarding torque waveform derived from the coupled analysis of JMAG and
control simulator (see the diagram below), one period of higher harmonics
corresponds to one period of cogging torque, indicating that shape-properties
are incorporated on the behavior model.
Conventionally, the inductance is derived with assumption that the space
distribution of magnetic flux is sine-wave (the left diagram). Yet, JMAG-RT
can offer the inductance on account of detailed structures including the
shape of a motor slot (the right diagram), resulting in the highly precise
vector control simulation.
