Application to Inverter Development
Inverter developers can now combine JMAG with the circuit simulation, including
the useful database of circuit elements and the loss calculation feature.
Therefore, the results of JMAG and the circuit simulation, including torque
and element losses, can be obtained concurrently.
The diagrams below show inverter surge voltage from the different source,
one using ideal motor elements, and the other coupled with JMAG. It is
apparent from the diagrams that the amplitude of surge voltage is different,
because of the difference in motor coil inductance. This is a clear indication
that current dependency of the inductance is incorporated in the behavior
model.
