Abstract

Problems induced by vibrations and noises from electric motors(e-motors) are increasing as the demands for e-motorization in recent automotive driveline developments. It is necessary to consider influences of vibrations from e-motors to systems including tooth contact of gears, eccentricities of shafts and so forth. Considering whole system behaviors including e-motors using MBD approach helps to solve the problems.
This session introduces how “SimulationX”, a system analysis tool, together with ”JMAG (motor dynamics)”, ”NewtonSuite MyROT (rotor dynamics)”, ”NewtonSuite-MOR (3D model order reduction)” can help analyzing vibrations of rotating mechanisms with e-motors in MBD processes.
