JFE Super Core is manufactured using an innovative process that is completely different from that for conventional silicon steel sheets.These are the highest grade, non-oriented magnetic steel sheets available.
Conventional silicon steel sheets have a Si (silicon) content of 3.5% or less. It has long been known that the magnetic characteristics of a silicon steel sheet improve as the Si content increases, peaking at 6.5%. However, it has been impractical to produce thin steel sheets with a Si content of over 3.5% because the steel tends to harden and become brittle. In 1993 JFE Steel solved this production problem through the adoption of a process called the CVD process, and successfully introduced the first 6.5% Si steel sheets (JNEX-Core) to the world. In order to meet new demands, this technology has continued to be developed, leading to the commercial production of gradient high-silicon steel sheets with superior high-frequency characteristics (JNHF-Core).

We are happy to present a controller suited to SR motors that have a tendency toward nonlinearity, and using an accelerator capable of μSec control. Also, we will demonstrate a real-time full-vehicle simulation, made very close to an actual vehicle through linking of virtual motor, inverter, controller, and battery with a vehicle-drive model.

In order to simulate the motors used in Hybrid vehicle on HILS, the precise motor and inverter models must be calculated very fast. dSPACE provides the customizable libraries for Simulink (ASM EC lib) and for FPGA (XSG EC Lib). This HILS demo simulates the closed-loop motor system in real time with the detailed motor model (spatial harmonic model) on FPGA imported from JMAG.

RT-LAB is the real-time simulator, developped by OPAL-RT.
We can use RT-LAB with JMAG-RT, to have more accurate results.

Increasing complexity of HEV and EV motor drive systems coupled with stringent requirements on fault tolerance and EMI/EMC compliance require accurate physical modeling of the electrical and electronic systems coupled to the mechanical and control domains. Synopsys Saber simulation environment coupled with MATLAB/Simulinkfor control, JMAG-RT for motors and accurate power device models from Synopsys’ TCAD device simulation environment allow for virtual co-design of power electronics devices and motor-drive systems. High-speed and high-precision motor simulation is feasible by embedding JMAG-RT motor model on FPGA platform using NI LabVIEW software. In implementing a hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) system of synchronous motor such as PSMS, it is highly required to consider the influences of spatial harmonic caused by high speed rotation, magnetic saturation or physical temperature dependancy on motor behavior. By running JMAG-RT model on the FPGA DRAM, users can attain the simulation environment which is fairly close to the actual motor execution environment.
