Event Report
This year’s JMAG Users Conference was held on October 11th in Southfield, a suburb in Detroit, Michigan, with about 50 people in attendance. With the conference focusing on Detroit-based automobile manufactures and their suppliers, attendees came all the way from areas such as the west coast and Canada; we were pleased to see how much JMAG’s user base has broadened over North America.
Three companies gave applied cases as user presentations, all of which employed development themes such as optimization designs, multiphysics simulations, and other cutting-edge analysis methods utilized in design; it was amazing to see how the evolution of simulation technologies and the progression of designs have played off of one another.
In the continuing technology sessions, we gave demonstrations interspersed with explanations on uses cases regarding JMAG usage technologies for effectively advancing larger, more detailed simulations. As shown in the user presentations, American users are highly aware of the leading technologies; the discussions contained many questions and feature requests for all of the given explanations.
This is the fourth users conference held in the United States; communication with the participants allowed for discussions of a very high level, we noticed that JMAG was incorporated at each level of design at an extremely early stage, and design experts exhibited proficient use of our software. As developers, we strive to stay current with recent design technologies by responding to our users’ needs.
