#1183 | Performance Study of a Surrogate Model-Assisted Optimization for Electric Machines
Hiroyuki Sano, Shogo Asahino, Kenta Kato, Koji Tani, Takashi Yamada
FEA optimization, vital for complex designs like EV motors, suffers from high computational costs. Surrogate models mitigate this, accelerating Pareto front progression. However, accuracy is crucial to avoid misleading results. Online optimization outperforms offline, updating models during the process. The surrogate assisted optimization effectively expands the search space, boosting its speed. This study aims to validate these findings beyond basic models, focusing on multi-objective multi-constraint problems.
