JMAG’s Searching Quest for Large Scale, Faster Electromagnetic Analysis – HPC Solver Introduction –

Abstract

There is a growing demand for estimating stray loss generated in a large-scale generator and loss generated in the electromagnetic steel sheets of rotational machines and transformers at higher precision. In these cases a smaller mesh is needed, resulting in much greater time required for electromagnetic field finite element analysis. To shorten analysis time, JMAG will newly release a GPU solver and High parallel solver with enhanced highly parallel processing (HPC) solution. My speech will include an introduction of a high-speed solver program and methods of
selecting appropriate hardware.
