Abstract

Recently, variable flux machines (VFM) are received much attention because they are capable of varying airgap field flux according to their various operating conditions. In this presentation, as an example of researches and developments of VFM in NITech, a Hybrid Excitation Motor (HEM) employing both a wound excitation and a permanent magnet as field sources is introduced.
