Abstract
Innovation speed is critical to gaining a competitive edge in the rapidly developing EV space. However, many eMotor innovations require detailed loss assessments considering challenging physics like PWM harmonics and advanced winding geometry. During this discussion, we will explore the keys for an eMotor designer to efficiently use high fidelity 3D models to compute critical loss metrics in minimal computational time. This enables rapid iteration through new technology and detailed innovative design ideas without requiring physical prototype iteration, thereby greatly speeding up the innovation loop.
