Video 54 introduced a short series of three or four videos with an attempt to compare flux-linkage captured at the terminals of an electric machine with oil captured at the well-head in an oil-field. It also likened our activities with the finite-element method to Goethe’s Sorcerer’s Apprentice, who lost control of a water process just as we might sometimes lose control of a finite-element process.
