[L-SE-81]Mesh Verifications at Higher Speeds

Overview

The speed of JMAG mesh creation functions has been made even faster. With the new mesher, checking contact recognition and interference on free-form surfaces, etc., and pre-processing has been made considerably more efficient. A large degree of effectiveness can be expected for models with multiple parts and multiple faces.
With the analysis of complex 3D models, because mesh quality and density have a large influence on analysis accuracy, a large amount of time is spent on mesh investigations. JMAG mesh creation functions are always improving, and even now it is possible to conduct verifications accurately with multiple mesh patterns within short periods of time. This includes cases involving models with verifications left unfinished in the past.

Mesh generation time was compared with the past three versions for distributed winding 4-pole, 24-slot synchronous motor models with 8 turns of rectangular wire for each phase (Left). Displayed is a model with a coil end part that includes several free-form surfaces. It is understood that mesh creation time is reduced by less than a third when compared with V16.0.
