When analyzing vibration from electromagnetic force, aka electromagnetic vibration, it is important to check not only the frequency components of electromagnetic force but also its spatial distribution (spatial mode). In particular, since the electromagnetic force on a motor has a different distribution depending on the shape of the motor such as the number of poles and the number of slots in the stator and its frequency order, it is useful to analyze the electromagnetic force distribution using finite element methods.
In this document, from the electromagnetic force analysis results obtained in JMAG, the procedure to check the spatial modes of force acting on a stator using a radar graph is presented.
