Overview

A direct coupled analysis is necessary to simulate actual phenomena from displacement caused by the electromagnetic force of a motor when the gap width cannot be ignored to changes in the stress dependency or BH curve in the core over time when the effects of vibrations must be taken into account. A coupled JMAG transient magnetic field and transient structural analysis can simulate geometrical deformations caused by electromagnetic force, and in turn how those deformations effect the electromagnetic force.
This document describes the procedures to run a direct two-way coupled magnetic field and structural analysis that takes into account the changes over time.
