Overview
High-temperature superconducting (HTS) wires exhibit anisotropy (direction dependence), where the critical current density and n-value vary not only with the magnitude of the magnetic flux density but also with its incident angle. Accurately considering this anisotropy is crucial for predicting the current-carrying performance and quench characteristics of superconducting devices.
This tutorial describes the procedures for performing HTS analysis in JMAG while taking this anisotropy into account.
