Abstract
Recently, the FDTD (finite difference time domain) method has been widely used for the analysis of microwave and optical circuit as a three dimensional time domain analysis technique. The method is very simple, however, various related techniques should be used in the analysis. In this presentation, fundamentals, constituent techniques, and applications of the method are described. Analyses of waveguides with iris, patch antennas, and microwave ovens are shown.
