Abstract
This paper describes a fast multigrid solver that has been developed for the next version of JMAG’s high frequency FEM solver. The use of a multigrid solver allows solution times of order O(N), where N is the number of unknowns. When coupled to adaptive mesh refinement this provides a very powerful solution technique. The paper gives a brief introduction to multigrid and then gives some solution times using the solver for several models.
