Abstract
When permanent magnets, such as NEOMAX, are used in designing a magnetic circuit, demagnetization of the permanent magnet must be considered. The conventional method, relied on qualitative estimates of demagnetization, has made it difficult to calculate the amount of demagnetization and yielded insufficient result for precise magnetic circuit design. This report proposes a method, which makes it possible to calculate the amount of demagnetization, by using the magnetic properties of each element of the demagnetized magnet block as input data. This report shows the comparison between calculation and measurement in several applications.
