Magnetic Field Analysis of Parts of an Oil-Immersed Transformer Full-Scale Analysis Model

Abstract

Oil immersed power transformers are equipments which convert voltage with Faraday’s law of induction on power systems. Leakage magnetic flux generated by transformer’s windings invades each of transformer’s parts and generates eddy current losses. Theses losses prevent high efficiency and space-saving. It is important to calculate exactly the distribution of magnetic flux and the losses for transformer design. This lecture is reported the evaluation of magnetic analyses by JMAG for a real scale model of oil immersed transformer.
