Development of Analysis and Design Technologies for Motors in Technology Research Association of Magnetic Materials for High-Efficiency Motors (MagHEM).

Abstract

MagHEM is developing high performance magnet beyond a conventional Nd-Fe-B magnet and motor evaluation technology when using new magnet.
Targets of R&D are new magnets exceeding Neodymium magnets with 2 times in (BH)max (180℃), and high efficiency motors with 40% reduction in loss, 40% improvement in power density using new magnets.
This time, it’s introduced about an analysis of a motor using JMAG including the efficiency map of the IPM motor using high performance magnet.
