Abstract

The starting characteristics (starting current and starting torque) of the induction motor are calculated by the logarithmic proportional method specified in JEC standard.
However, there is sometimes a discrepancy with the measured value.
In the field, a calculation method based on actual measurement data is used, but further improvement in accuracy is required.
There is a method of actually measuring each time, but it is difficult in reality because the production volume is large.
Therefore, in this paper, we analyzed the starting characteristics of the induction motor using JMAG and examined an improved evaluation method.
