Abstract

We propose a 10-pole-12-slot switched reluctance motor (12/10 SRM) with a hex connection for a traction motor of EVs. A 12/10 SRM can be driven under hysteresis control or vector control, which enables a switching drive between them. In this paper, the performance of a 12/10 SRM under hysteresis control and vector control is computed by using the control circuit function of JMAG-Designer.
