Abstract

Induction Hardening is one of the strengthening methods of steel, and it can be incorporated into production lines due to its short time process compared to other hardening methods. Setting the conditions for moving hardening of single diameter shafts or single-shot hardening by using dedicated coils for a specific part is relatively simple. However, in actual production lines, there are cases where stepped shafts must be heated using single diameter coil. In such cases, there are many design variables, making it difficult to derive optimal conditions manually. This presentation introduces the verification of the optimization calculation of hardening heating conditions for stepped shafts by using parallel execution of multiple cases on a cloud computing service with PSL.
