[Vol.074] Electromagnetic Actuators
The 74th seminar focuses on electromagnetic actuators and explains the analysis of their characteristics. Electromagnetic actuators exhibit a high degree of diversity in their geometries and configurations, and flexibility is required in design and analysis.
Using a solenoid plunger actuator as an example, the seminar describes the mechanism of force production and clarifies the treatment of magnetic circuits based on classical analytical methods. It further examines the differences from finite element analysis (FEM) and outlines the differences in design processes between these approaches.
