Abstract

Recording and reproducing performance of recordable or rewritable optical disks are influenced by the distribution and the rising time of the media temperature with the laser heating. On applying the incident ray of designed optical system to the disk, to grasp the ever-changing temperature distribution of media is important. This paper introduces the coupled analysis case of thermal and electromagnetic wave, using an analysis result by optical system simulation software package as external field file with JMAG’s WV and HT solver.
