Abstract
In designing the motor and its drive system, many problems are occurred when the control systems and motor design are optimized independently. I introduce some examples of analyzing the motor characteristics by numerical techniques considering the effects of drive system. Those are effects of voltage waveform, non-linear circuit, magnetic saturation and space-time harmonics. At last, the results of loss analysis of the motor combined with drive systems for optimization of the system efficiency.
