Abstract
Vibration Optimization of Concentrated Stator and IPM Rotor Mr. Alvin Lee, Section Manager, Hermetic Motor, Emerson Motor vibration is very important for hermetic motor application, especially for concentrated stator and IPM rotor design, which have both higher efficiency and higher vibration. To optimize motor vibration in full speed range, the magnetic radial force harmonics should be considered as the root cause. JMAG is applied to calculate and reduce the motor radial force harmonics. In the end, the comparison of original and optimized sample test result proves the JMAG optimization work is reliable and effective.
