Abstract
We describe a case study of an analysis of a claw pole rotating machine. In a claw pole rotating machine the rotor geometry is special and needs a 3D analysis, which has prompted us to mainly tackle rotor modeling. In this case we use JMAG’s coil end modeling function to model a stator and report on our findings regarding the impact this had on the coil end geometry results.
