Abstract

CSC has developed a comprehensive portfolio of advanced electrical steels, ranging from high-flux and high-frequency grades to ultra-thin gauges targeting next-generation EV, e-bus, UAV, and robotic motors. This presentation outlines the progression from material development to prototype validation, integrating magnetic characterization, stress-induced degradation analysis, and motor-level performance comparisons. Case studies—including an 80 kW EV motor, a 250 kW e-bus IPM motor, and a high-efficiency industrial UAV motor—demonstrate how CSC materials, combined with JMAG’s multi-physics simulation, enable accurate prediction and alignment with experimental results. These efforts highlight CSC’s commitment to providing high-performance magnetic materials for emerging electric-machine applications.
