Overview
In motor design, it can be advantageous to draw efficiency maps for each motor design proposal, confirming possible drive regions and each operating point. Comparisons with actual measurement values can be performed when confirming simulation accuracy. Simulation results for varying design proposals can also be compared.
By drawing efficiency maps in JMAG using tables obtained with actual measurements and simulations as input, comparisons with JMAG and actual measurement efficiency maps can be a relatively easy process.
Using a JMAG-Designer efficiency map study, this document describes the method for creating efficiency maps with external data as output and confirming the differences between those efficiency maps.
