Overview
In designing traction motors for electric vehicles, it is not only the performance of the motor itself that requires evaluation, but also the entire system. One evaluation item is comprehending the drive cycle system loss. With JMAG, motor efficiency map / loss maps can be both created and output as models that can be used in circuit simulations.
This document describes the method to output an efficiency map / loss map obtained with JMAG and using a circuit simulation to comprehend drive cycle system loss.
