Overview
Thermal design is becoming important as motors become smaller and faster. While FEA for thermal fluid analysis and heat transfer analysis is highly advanced for motor designers, there is growing demand for designers to take account of heat in their designs.
In JMAG, using a thermal equivalent circuit allows for analysis that takes into account cooling and the thermal resistance between parts.
This document shows how to run scripts from a JMAG project file with any model to create a thermal analysis model with batch settings of circuit components and each thermal condition based on the exported JCF file.
