Abstract

In order to realize high density recording in perpendicular magnetic recording, the 3 dimensional analysis of recording mechanism is indispensable. It is important to consider the interaction
between head and media in simulation of perpendicular magnetic recording. In this report, the magnetization of media is calculated using magnetic particle model and probability method, and it is combined with 3 dimensional finite element method soft, JMAG. The interaction between head and media becomes larger with larger media saturation magnetization, and in the same head condition, larger coercivity media can get better density characteristics. Therefore, the combination of media magnetization calculation and JMAG is successful.
