Abstract

Forecasting and controlling the hardening layer and degree of deformation in high-frequency induction heating is an important issue. I will use JMAG for the heating process for high-frequency induction heating (a coupled electromagnetic and thermal analysis) and COSMAP, a heat treatment process simulation software, for a complex analysis of phase transformation during cooling.
I will present a temperature history of heating and cooling and analysis case study to quantitatively evaluate hardness and degree of deformation.
