POWERSYS USA
Abstract
This presentation covers some several special cases that have been worked on for customers at the Powersys USA office in Southfield, MI. The first topic is an analysis for the computation of cogging torque for a slot-less PM motor with a non-cylindrical airgap when using a patch mesh. The second topic is handling loss information when creating a material in order to account for low stacking factors in the steel parts. Finally, a case is shown where stator inductance and resistance are computed for a motor model utilizing the results from an FQ study and compared to results obtained from JMAG’s built in inductance calculation tools.
