Abstract

Examples of optimizations in analysis software have been much reported in recent years, and a similar amount of time has passed since the optimization function was added to JMAG, with “Optimization Calculations Realized with Intuitive Operations in JMAG-Designer!” The JMAG optimization function expands parametric functions to automatically create new case parameters and search for the optimum value, where it is now possible to also use the genetic algorithm (GA) engine. Here we report on our use of a 3D model in studying the extent to which the JMAG optimization function can be applied by wristwatch motor designers in searching for optimum values.
