Abstract
The “ultra rapid carburizing process” developed by our company is a technology that dramatically faster than the conventional carburizing process, i.e., gas carburizing, by using induction heating for rapid heating and high temperature treatment.
Factors that have a great influence on heat treatment quality include heating coil shape, heating rate, heat pattern, etc. We improved the heat treatment quality, stabilized it, and improved the analysis accuracy using both analysis prediction and experiments.
This time, we conducted an analysis on ultra rapid carburizing process for large parts using JMAG-Designer, and report the results and the necessity of large-scale calculation.
