High fidelity HILS and RCP for motor control development

Takashi Miyano
Director of Engineering, dSPACE Japan

Abstract

In order to develop the motor control efficiently, the HILS (Hardware In the Loop Simulator) is very effective. For the motor used in Hybrid vehicle, the precise motor and inverter models must be calculated very fast. dSPACE provides the customizable libraries for Simulink (ASM EC lib) and for FPGA (XSG EC Lib). These libraries contain the various motor models, inverter, battery and other electric components, therefore the motor models can be implemented in to HILS easily. The motor model also can be imported by conversion from JMAG-RT in order to simulate more precise motor characteristics.
