JMAG Analysis of Spot Induction Heating to Design a Soldering Head

Abstract

For the manufacturing industry, which happen suffering from labor shortage, autonomous soldering process is a major issue. There are problems in quality, yield, and cost with the solder iron and laser methods, and there are still many manual handcraft production lines by limited craftsmen. Against this background, we have commercialized the world’s first automatic soldering system called “S-WAVE” that can realize non-contact, spot soldering. By performing non-contact soldering, stable soldering quality can be realized, and the cost can be reduced to about half that of the laser method. This time, we will introduce an example of applying JMAG to the analysis of the induction heating head part in S-WAVE.
