[L-MO-106] Prototype and Performance Evaluation with Model-based Efficiency Map (Accuracy Priority Mode)

Overview

The maximum efficiency of the drive motor for EV vehicles exceeds 95%. As further efficiency improvement is in the order of 1%, the efficiency error with the actual machine in the Model-Based Development (MBD) solution also requires to be evaluated with an accuracy of 1%.
JMAG’s efficiency map generation function (accuracy priority mode) combines the detailed control model with the motor FEA model equivalent to the actual machine.

The efficiency map on the left creates a detailed control model for current vector control, harmonic loss from PWM carrier, magnet and coil considering the eddy current loss of AC. In the efficiency map in the right figure, ac losses in the coil and eddy current losses in the magnet are not taken into account.
