Overview

As motors become more powerful and efficient, thermal management becomes more important, requiring system simulations that account for heat. In JMAG, users can use the thermal circuit of a motor to run system simulations that account for heat. Users can connect thermal circuits in JMAG, or use JMAG-RT models to connect JMAG motor models in MATLAB/Simulink to thermal circuits in MATLAB/Simulink.
This tutorial describes the procedures to create a thermal circuit in MATLAB-Simulink equivalent to a thermal circuit created in JMAG and run a system simulation.
