Abstract

Recent, the electromagnetic field analysis is required for the optimum design.
This paper describes examples of electromagnetic field analysis by the 3-D finite element method. The eddy currents in a silicon steel sheet of a interior permanent magnet motor, a surface permanent magnet motor, and a squirrel-cage induction motor are analyzed. The induced voltage characteristic of a interior permanent magnet motor taking into account Y-or Δ-connected circuit is analyzed. The torque characteristic of a hybrid stepping motor is analyzed. The influence of material characteristic by remains stress on the torque characteristic of a claw poled stepping motors is analyzed. The dynamic characteristic of thermal instruments with bimetal elements coupled with 3-D heat transfer analysis method is analyzed. And,This paper describes a example of 2-D mesh generation method coupled with CAD systems.
