Abstract

Conventional motor design method has an issue that it cannot cope with advanced design requirements of the rotor core for the motor.
We have tried to explore the best rotor core design applying topology optimization analysis technology of JMAG since 2019.
Recently, multi optimization analysis of magnet size and flux barrier topology has become possible by new version JMAG.
Therefore, we verified whether it is possible to find better design than the conventional design.
