Abstract
Amid the evolution of electrification of transport devices in recent years there has been development at KYB as well of products using electric motors such as electric power steering (EPS). Motor design regards magnetic field analysis using CAE an indispensable tool and our company is tackling development using JMAG from the initial stages of design. I will introduce a case study using JMAG to perform a torque characteristics analysis in an IPM motor, forecast a temperature and then compare actual measurements and analysis results.
