Abstract

Recently, an electromagnetic field analysis is required for the optimum design.
This paper describes examples of electromagnetic field analysis by 3-D finite element method.
Specifically, the cogging torque characteristic of a hybrid stepping motor of actuators is analyzed. The electromagnetic force of a motor with off-center, the magnetizing process using the coils in the stator taking into account the discharge current of capacitor and the eddy current in the divided permanent magnet are analyzed as examples of interior permanent magnet motors. The dynamic step response of a claw-poled stepping motor is analyzed. The torque characteristic of a induction motor taking into account Y-connected circuit is analyzed. In addition, the thrust characteristic of linear induction motor and the dynamic characteristic of a linear solenoid are analyzed as examples of linear actuators.
